Thanks for checking out my blog! In August of 2011 I gave cesarean birth to a beautiful girl. My journey through pregnancy taught me about how precious, sacred and unique this experience is for expecting families and how essential it is to actively participate in the planning and preparation for bringing a new life into the world.

I am a registered pediatric nurse but since the pregnancy have taken some time off to redirect my focus towards a different career path. My next step is to become a doula or birth assistant. I have finished the DONA course and will be working over the next few months on completing the certification. By using a number of tools I strive to honor the natural process of birth by empowering the pregnant woman to discover her own potential.
