The Plants

I was introduced to the notion of sustainable medicine about a year after moving to the Upper Valley to begin my career as a Registered Nurse. Unfortunately for that career this introduction was the beginning of its demise. For all reasons political, cultural and environmental we must see a revolution in our health care system. I started researching the history of western medicine and found that in so many ways, plants are the foundation of all healing practices. Traditionally, women were the carriers of this healing knowledge and they were also the most wise in regard to natural birth practices. And so here I find myself, going back to my roots as a woman. I want to reclaim all of this wisdom and return it to my community.

At this stage I still consider myself a beginner and have just started observing the  benefits of simple but powerful plant medicines in my life and those of my friends and clients. I do not prescribe but I can make recommendations based off of information I have gathered from the most reliable resources I find. If you choose to administer any of these remedies you are doing so under your own liability. I do have a small supply of tea blends and tinctures and can tell where to find others if you would like.
